Tata Motors has been planning to launch a CNG version of Tiago in India for a long time. After a long wait, the country's leading carmaker Tata Motors is finally preparing to enter the CNG passenger vehicle segment. Tata Motors is preparing to introduce its first CNG vehicles, the Tata Tiago CNG and the Tata Tigor CNG.

The country's carmaker officially released a trailer for Tata Tiago CNG before delivery. Tata Tiago CNG is expected to be released this month. In addition, informal orders are already available at certain Tata Motors offices in India.
Order Amount
Tata Motors released a video on all of its social media platforms on New Year's Eve, mentioning the launch of Tiago CNG. When the new version of the Tiago CNG is unveiled, it will be the first Tata Motors CNG car. The exact delivery date has not yet been officially disclosed by the company. However, according to trade sources, Delhi-NCR sources say pre-orders have been taking place since October last year.
Engine Parts
The Tata Tiago currently has a 1.2-liter, three-cylinder, naturally aspirated petrol engine. This engine produces 84.8 hp and 113 Nm of maximum torque. The engine comes standard with a 5-speed manual transmission, and a 5-speed AMT is also available. The future version of the CNG car is expected to receive an uncoordinated version of the 1.2-liter petrol engine. In addition, the engine will only be combined with a 5-speed manual transmission.
Appearance and Design
Based on the spy images of the test model, it is known that the design of the CNG variant will be similar to the version of their standard ICE (internal combustion engine) models. That is, there is little hope for major changes in the design or size of the CNG model. In terms of exterior appearance and design, it has many features such as projector headlight, LED DRL, fog light, shark fin antenna, LED stop light, LED tail lights. Interior photos of the CNG model are not yet revealed. However, as mentioned earlier, no significant difference from the conventional model is expected. New multi-spoke alloy wheels were introduced for the car. The front grille of the car acquires the theme of three arrows, which is a feature of the car.
How will the features ?
In terms of features, the Tiago CNG XZ variant will have the same features as the standard XZ finish. These include a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, voice commands, steering wheel audio and phone controls, height-adjustable driver's seat, one-touch drawer window, cool glove box and more. The XT trim features features front and rear power windows, piano black interior inserts and steering wheel, Tata ConnectNext program support, and electrically adjustable ORVM with integrated turn signals.
Price and competition
Currently, the Tata Tiago hatchback has 9 variants and 4 trim variants - XE, XT, XZ and XZ +. The car can be purchased in Delhi for an initial 4.99 thousand. Rupees for the former showroom, and the best models - up to 7.07 thousand. Prices for the Tata Tiago CNG model are expected to be around Rs 50,000-60,000 higher than standard ICE models. With the introduction of the new Tata Tiago CNG, it will compete in the Indian market with cars such as the Hyundai Santro CNG and the Maruti Suzuki WagonR S-CNG. Tata Tigor CNG, meanwhile, will compete with the upcoming Maruti Suzuki sedan DZire CNG and Hyundai Aura CNG.
